The Industrial Survey is a monthly business opinion survey designed to capture trends in industrial activity and expectations of entrepreneurs. Carried out since 1998 and currently conducted in partnership with 25 Federations of Industry, the Industrial Survey generates results by company size, geographic regions and activity sectors of Manufacturing and Mining and quarrying industries.
Exchange rate re-emerges as a concern for industrial entrepreneurs in the fourth quarter of the year
The December 2024 Industrial Survey reveals that the exchange rate and high interest rates have re-emerged as some of the main challenges faced by the industrial sector in the fourth quarter of 2024. Additionally, the assessment of financial conditions has become less favorable during the quarter. Although industrial activity remains heated, it experienced a deceleration in December 2024, and inventories fell back to below the sector’s planned level. In this context, expectations for the first half of 2025 have turned more optimistic.
